Description of adults: Following Martill et al. 2007: "Body length 3.5 -5 mm; forewing length 3 - 3.5 mm; R2 and R3 ending near apex; besides the holotype a single specimen (SMNS 66279) has been identified as this species."
The species is known only from the two specimens from the Santana formation in Brazil.
The age of the fossil has been estimated to be between 125 - 112 Ma (Martill et al. 2007).
