Type locality: South Africa, Western Cape, Worcester, Fairy Glen
Type: Holotype : South Africa, Western Cape, Worcester, Fairy Glen, 15 - 19 Oct 1966, Vári and Potgieter, in coll. TMP (originally paratype of Agrionympha vari Whalley, 1978)

The species is known only from the type locality: South Africa, Western Cape, near Worcester in the Klein Karoo (Whalley 1978, Gibbs & Kristensen 2011).


The imagines are on the wing in October (Kurz & Kurz 2020).
