Description of adults: Examined: Original description by Christoph 1887. Forewing length: 12 mm. Vestiture of hair-like scales on the head brownish white-grey; palpi moderatley long, light grey, second segment somewhat distantly scaled; third segment short, smoothly scaled; antennae with whitish flagellum, bipectinate with long pectinations; thorax with white, hair-like scales, mixed brown; forewings with yellowish-white ground colour, with scattered spots of light grey-brown colour; two larger spots near basis on costa and in middle of inner margin, a third spot, the largest one distal to middle of costa; outer margin brownish; indistinct rows of black-brown dots on wing area, especially in distal part, forming 2-3 parallel rows; several black-brown dots also along costa, the outermost 3 trinagular, before apex; in distal area of wing also some deep black dots; fringe basally with a blackish line, distally yellowish, interrupted black-brown; hindwings in basal part yellowish-white with scattered black-brown scales, black-brown in distal part; venation of cell and inner margin also blackish; fringe yellowish-white with black line; underside more whitish than upperside, otherwise similar; underside of thorax whitish; legs thick, smoothly scaled, chalk-white; hindtibia with long spurs and long, more adpressed, hair-like scales on upperside; abdomen brown, margins of segments whitish.


The species is known only from the type locality in Turkmenistan.

The male genitalia do not have any affinity to Euplocamus, nor to any other genus of palaearctic Tineidae (Petersen 1958b).
