Habit:

Description of adults: Following original description (Millière 1854). Wingspan: 14 mm; head black brown; antennae filiform, about 2/3 () of forewing length; thorax and tegulae dark brown; forewings brown, bronzy golden shining; at the inner margin, basally of the tornus, a roundish, elongate, yellowish white spot, reaching nearly across half of the wing width; fringe like the ground colour; hindwings greyish brown with violet lustre; fringe like the ground colour; abdomen dark brown.

Distribution:

The species is known so far only from France (Karsholt & Nieukerken, 2004).

Biology:

The holotype has been caught in a wood of fir trees in July (Millière 1854).

Stages in development:

The early stages are unknown.
