General information:

Synonyms, misspellings, wrong determinations, etc.:
---

Habit:

Description of adults: (Pellmyr 1996): Wingspan male 10.5 - 11.5 mm, female 9 mm. Forewing brownish gray, with purplish violet lustre. Three yellowish orange spots along costa, and two along rear edge; basal spots at times almost merging into a band. Hindwing uncolored brownish gray with a metallic lustre.

Distribution:

Although recorded by Wojtusiak (1996) from Europe, the species is distributed only east of the Ural mountains. (Kozlov 1996, Karsholt & Nieukerken 2004). Pellmyr (1996) records it from the Altai Mountains of central Asia and from Ryanggang province, North Korea. The latter record seems to be very doubtful. The same is true for the Japanese records (Hokkaido), although the figured specimen closely resembles the above description (anonymous 2009a).

Biology:

There aren´t any data available about the biology of L. altaica.

Stages in development:

The early stages are unknown.
