Habit:

Scheme of wing pattern:

Description od adults. Examined: Original description by Staudinger [1880]. Wing expanse: : 7 mm. Forwings narrow, greenish golden shining, without any markings; hindwings grey, golden shining.

Distribution:

The species is only known from northern Turkey. Koçak & Kemal (2009) report it for the province of Amasya.

Biology:

The biology of M. amasiella is unknown.

Stages in development:

The early stages are unknown.

Diagnosis:

Within its distribution range, no other unmarked species of Micropterix is known. Eventually, Micropterix aruncella (Scopoli, 1763) with similar females may be found also in northern Turkey, but the latter is distinguished by a purple colouration of the forewing base at costa and different male genitalia and males mostly having silvery fasciae and spots on the forewing.
