Description of adults: Examined: 3 , 1 . Forewing length: 4.6 - 4.7 mm, 4.2 mm. Head black-brown; vestiture of hair-like scales on the head yellow; antennae 4/5 (), respectively, 1/2 () of forewing length; segments of flagellum especially in with long ascoid sensillae; thorax bronzy golden, tegulae yellow; forewings bronzy golden to coppery in proximal half, purple with delictae bronzy golden irroration in distal half; fringe bronzy golden, in apical area yellowish-white outwards; hindwings bronzy golden, apically with purplish tinge; fringe bronzy golden, lighter outwards; legs and abdomen light brown, bronzy golden shining.

Distribution:

The species is known from the eastern part of the United States only. A single vertical record from 600 m a.s.l. is documented so far (Kurz & Kurz 2012).

Biology:

The investigated moths have been caught in July (Kurz & Kurz 2012).
